User's Guide Part II. Tutorials Chapter 5. Using ISQLStart the database engine on the sample database by double clicking on the SQL Anywhere icon labeled Standalone Sample Database.
The SQL Anywhere window appears displaying some startup information. After a few seconds, the window automatically reduces to an icon on the bottom of the screen.
Once the database engine is running, start ISQL by double clicking on the ISQL icon. The ISQL window appears.
