Chapter 27. Introduction to SQL Remote Replication

The message systems supported by SQL Remote are:

• MAPI Used in e-mail systems, including Microsoft Mail.
• FILE A simple file-sharing protocol.
• VIM Used in e-mail systems such as Lotus cc:Mail and groupware products such as Lotus Notes.
• SMTP Used in Internet e-mail systems.

A database can exchange messages using one or more of the available message systems.
